Welcome!

Welcome to the website for KMI Zeolite Inc. KMI Zeolite has been in the business of mining, milling and supplying high-grade natural clinoptilolite zeolite for many different types of applications since 1994. Since their inception, KMI has made significant contributions towards the continual improvement of their milling operations which are located near Sandy Valley, Nevada. In addition to their milling operations, KMI Zeolite owns several independently proven claims located roughly 40 miles west of Pahrump, Nevada near Death Valley, California.

In 1995, KMI Zeolite had their claims independently analyzed to determine the size and purity of their wholly-owned zeolite deposits. The analysis determined that KMI Zeolite's claims contain proven and probable reserves of over 53,700,000 ton of 97%+ pure natural clinoptilolite zeolite by weight. KMI's deposit covers roughly 60% of the 120 acres of claims and extends to over 300 ft deep in places making it one of the largest and purest natural clinoptilolite zeolite deposits found anywhere in the world. The exploratory testing of the deposit was still in zeolite at both depth and strike in several locations indicating that the actual deposit contains more than just the 'proven and probable' amount indicated.

KMI's zeolite is of the clinoptilolite variety. According to Dr F.A. Mumpton, a widely recognized expert on zeolite, the deposits located within KMI's claims are unquestionably one of the largest and highest grade clinoptilolite deposits discovered to date. KMI's clinoptilolite is relatively hard and good for attrition resistance required from applications such as water treatment and purification. The chemical composition of KMI's deposit can be found on the About Us page.

As of March 2011, KMI Zeolite has been under new management. Many positive changes have recently taken place including the implementation of quality control policies and procedures. KMI has made numerous improvements to its existing crushing, screening and bagging processes in order to produce a more desirable product for the end-user. KMI Zeolite does a particle size analysis on all the product it ships to ensure it is the gradation that the customer ordered tailored to the specific desired application. KMI strives to produce exactly what the customer requests and make adjustments to our procedures according to the individual customers whenever possible.

KMI Zeolite is currently supplying many different companies all across the world. KMI's products are sold into various applications such as potable water filtration, stormwater and wastewater management, oil/industrial waste absorbent, barn deodorizer, livestock feed additives, pet food additives, odor control products, radioactive waste cleanup, concrete/cementitious applications and as a soil amendment/conditioner/fertilizer. KMI has engaged a technical consultant as well as several distributors with excellent knowledge within their applications. As such, KMI is prepared to provide you with support, research and recommendations for specific use of clinoptilolite zeolite within your application in order to ensure that the product performs to its maximum potential. KMI has done extensive testing on its zeolite in order to provide customers with accurate physiochemical properties and maximize the effectiveness of the zeolite within the end-users application. Bearing in mind that the practical value of a zeolite ore is determined only by how will it works in a given application, KMI's clinoptilolite deposit west of Death Valley Junction, California, is one of the best that has been found to date.
